Vincenzo Bellini(1801-1835), Italian operatic composer, was born in Catania on November 3, 1801 and died in Puteaux on September 23, 1835. Studied under Zingarelli at the San Sebastiano Conservatory, Naples. He composed mainly operas in a Bel-Canto style. His main works: Norma, I Puritani, La Sonnambula and I Capulettied i Montecchi.
